Savant Automation, Inc., a spinoff of Siemens Logistics and Assembly
Systems, is a full-service supplier of Automated Guided Vehicle Systems
(AGVS), including automatic guided carts, unit load carriers, and tow
units. The company is a licensee for Dematic / Siemens AGVS Technology.

PRODUCT ENGINEER. Coordinated all design activity for guided vehicles
and managed the integration of subsystems, components and wiring with
accountability for the performance, reliability, predictability and
cost of assigned products. Planned, directed and coordinated
preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings,
wiring diagrams, production specifications and schedules, and contract
modifications to ensure customer contract requirements were met;
monitored the status of the project to assure documentation was
submitted according to schedule. Created assembly drawings for new
parts. Quoted all non-standard electronic options for guided vehicles
and developed and released vehicle Bills of Material (BOM). Researched
and selected vendors, weighing costs, quality of products, and ability
to meet stringent production timelines. Provided engineering support to
all departments in the company. All drawing documentation released and
revised through the ECO (Engineering Change Order) process.

TECHNICAL BUYER. Managed and optimized inventory levels, ensuring
sufficient supply to meet production and service demands. Consulted
with engineering team to understand functional and custom designs and
to identify technical requirements; used tact and diplomacy when
specific needs could not be met and offered alternative solutions when
appropriate. Wrote purchase orders for contract work, tools and RF
communication parts. Proactively tracked and expedited orders to adhere
to schedules. Developed new suppliers and managed supplier quality

orders into the OES.
