Responsible for the training of all welders, to successfully pass all positions tests in pipe and structural welding, according to ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1 Codes. Automatic Orbital Welder: Rocky Express Pipeline; Tuscola, IL. Here I worked on the firing line as an automatic orbital welder and head crane flagman for my portable shack. I was responsible for the safety and quality of work from myself and co-workers. I was responsible for ensuring the shacks where clear before any lifts would be made.

Welder / Fitter: C&W Industries; Union Springs, AL. TASK MANAGER/CRAFT SUPERVISOR; Responsible for welding and welding related activities such as stress relieving of T-1 materials. Also responsible for the necessary modifications of T-1 materials for the first prototypes trailers for wind energy transport. This project proved to be a major success and several are being manufactured with future sales on back order.

I was one of the few with the TVA fender weld test certifications for making root welds on pipe. I was later offered employment as a weld engineer.
