I am seeking a Superintendent position in order that I may combine my skills and knowledge of all phases of construction and construction management with the existing procedures of a company so that we may accomplish a shared goal of completing a quality project on time and within budget.

For the past eight years I have owned and operated a subcontracting company. I have selected and bid projects within the companys scope of work and expertise. I have met all the labor requirements needed, supplied tools and equipment for all projects, set work schedules for the duration of each project and kept communication open to each contractor on the projects about challenges and or progress and needs of each project. Other daily tasks included keeping daily reports, record keeping of budget requirements and management of crew leaders and crews. I have been responsible for all employee matters, payroll, hiring/ firing and training. I have implemented and enforced safety regulations on each project according to state guidelines and laws. As assistant Field Supervisor my responsibilities included layout and installation of curtianwall systems. I directed crews in their daily work projects and tasks. Received and carried out orders directly from the project manager. I was responsible for all daily activities on a specific project. Kept daily logs and timesheets. Dealt with all issues on jobsite and reported back to main office on resolutions. I left L.B.L. Skysystems to pursue my own business.
Williams Steel Erection 9/1991-2/1999 Merrifield Va. Supervisor; Pete Walker
As a Lead Forman my responsibilities included the layout and erection of steel in order to complete building projects. I was also in charge of the manpower on the project, assigning tasks and keeping track of hours. I was also in charge of site safety to make sure the guidelines outlined by the company were followed. I left Williams Steel to pursue the offer presented to me by L.B.L. Skysystems to work within the Glaziers Union.
Avco-Lycoming/Textron 12/1981-9/1991 Stratford Ct. Supervisor; Bob Hall
I started this job with little experience in aircraft quality welding. They started me at an apprentice position and within 2 years I was one of the most skillful welders at the company. Every time they came up with a new part or process I made it my personal goal to achieve the highest standard of excellence in that process. During my time there I received numerous awards and accommodations for my efforts. I held every welding certificate they had. While at Avco/Lycoming I also worked at a company called Treadwell Enterprise, Where they built oxygen generators for submarines. I worked independently at both companies with little supervision. I left the area when work slowed down ,due in part because of cutbacks in defense spending and moved to Maryland when I secured the position with Williams Steel.
