In the 1970s, I started at Denver Winnelson plumbing supply company, learning about material flow. I served a 5 year plumbing apprentice program working in: 1. Multi-family apartment maintenamce and service 2. Installation of H2O treatment plants for local water and sanitation districts 3. Industrial research and development doing pipefitting, welding, metal fabrication. industrial process and controls, plant equipment maintenance 4. Sanitary plumber for a new wastewater treatment plant in the city of Longmont 5. Commercial, service and residential plumbing for local companies
I earned an Associate of Science Degree in Water/Wastewater Technologies from Red Rocks Community College and a degree in Process and Control Instrumentation from Emily Griffith Opportunity School. I earned my Journeyman plumbing license in 1979 and my Master plumbing license in 1980. I served as President of the Idledale Water&Sanitation District Board for 10 years.
In the 80s, I worked as a residential service plumber doing piece work until Oct 1981, when I formed my own company Par Plumbing and Mechanical. I started, as a one man shop and grew up to 20 plumbers in 6 years, grossing 3+ million dollars, doing primarily new and remodel commercial projects, custom homes and residential maintenance/service. In 1987, as economy faded, I fulfilled all project warrantee work, paid all debts and closed shop. I then worked as service / commercial plumber and traveled to Colordao Springs and California as commercial plumbing/hydronics foreman for local contractors.
In the 90s, I worked as commercial maintenance/ service, installation plumber for a 2-man shop for 11 years. I was the installation plumber for the 2 year process and sanitation piping remodel of the Pepsi bottling plant in Denver.
In the 2000s, I worked as a commercial plumbing foreman, on large new and remodel commercial projects supervising and training apprentices in: 1.Proper plumbing installations methods to ensure code compliance, proven ways to stay on schedule and under budget, while providing a safe and clean work environment. 2.Material flow and time management to meet any production deadlines. 3.Team management/communication skills to ensure that material suppliers, labor forces, inspection authorizes, and clients needs are all working together to achieve completion schedule and budget goals. I look forward to an interview with you to discuss your needs.
