I also have two and one half years experience working in boat
manufacturing,mostly as a final rigger. My duties included:
installing carpeting, installing electrical,and various
plumbing and other boating systems. Also,
included finish carpentry work.Decking and rub
rail installation. This job required the ability to not only work
with wood, but also required time spent in cramped spaces.
My employment history also includes seven years in the
restaurant industry. I was required to not only multi task, but
speak and deal with many different people, at once, while
concentrating on the food preparation, in front of me, all
the while maintaing a sense of urgency and staying calm while
under pressure. I was responsible for training new employees,
and at the same time, completing the task at hand. I frequently
was placed in a leadership role. Also, checked in stock, using
the FIFO system. Being a team player was essential in these jobs,
as well as being able to jump in and do whatever was necessary
to get the job done!
