Objective : |
I am an owners representative looking to relocate to use my project management skills to assist others in acquiring and renovating commercial real estate. I possess the skills and experience to add value to any team as a project manager, construction manager or owners representative. I am a road warrior and possible relocation candidate.
I assist in acquiring and renovating hotels by providing costs and solutions to remedy the material defects and design obsolescence, then manage the improvements ... Especially the hotel industry where old upgrades created obsolete guestroom designs, poorly arranged lobbies, ugly restaurants and inefficient meeting room layouts. I can do environmental, PIP reviews, brand standard compliance comparisons, facilities management and BOH (elevator, roof, life/safety, equipment logistics, voice/data, cost segregation, etc.)
For over 20 years, I have served clients as an independent owners representative performing due diligence inspections for buyers and then subsequently representing them during the renovations and rehabilitation as the owners representative. The majority of experiences have been involved with the acquisition and renovation of hotels and multi-family projects.
My last project was in Abu Dhabi a 600 room JW Marriott Resort and Spa. Prior to that, I assisted Warren Fields and Rick Kelleher at Pyramid acquire and renovate over 20 hotels. I can do the standard finishes and high-end finishes through conceptual design including budgeting. I can renovate in occupied spaces and can manage either large GCs or small subcontractors with ease. The design firm I was working for had their contract scope cut due to economic conditions and a majority of our staff was laid-off, including myself.
In summary, I possess the following traits for your review: 1.High-end interior design/architectural experience working on a JW Marriott in Abu Dhabi as the interior fit out Senior Project Manager for Sue Firestone at sfa design. 2.Owners Representative experience working with multifamily and hotel owners renovating properties and consultant experience on all other project types; 3.GC experience as a preconstruction manager for PCL Construction (Largest Canadian GC with US home office in Denver); ranked 12th largest in US. 4.Due Diligence Consulting assisting with acquisitions, scope definition for renovations, programming and disposition.
My strengths are handling multiple assignments while maintaining a positive attitude with the staff and my peers. I am an experienced schematic designer and a professional at value engineering. Communications skills include board presentations, city zoning appeals, negotiating building permits and contract negotiations with all regulatory agencies. I know the high end hotel interior design process from initial programming to final punch list and have relationships with the finest designers and manufacturers from all over the world.
Since being laid-off, I have tried to market myself as a due diligence inspector, so I am available as contract labor or would consider employment. Please review my qualifications for any future assignments and call me to discuss my particular skills and how they relate to what you might be looking for... I would like to align myself with a larger organization, from what I saw on your web site, your looks pretty good.
