The company was established in 1952 as Rochester Linoleum and Tile when Albert Pelusio, Sr. opened a 400 square foot showroom in Rochester, New York. The companys size continues to grow.
In 1990, the second generation of the Pelusio family decided to expand the scope of their business with a transition from retail to large-scale commercial endeavors. They launched Rochester Flooring Resource, a division dedicated to securing commercial projects without sacrificing their foothold in the residential market.
RFR immersed itself into the commercial flooring contracting business by synthesizing their capital resources with the right people.
