Company Description:
Founded in 1982, the Southeastern Affordable Housing Management Association is a nonprofit organization whose members are owners and managers of privately-owned, government-regulated housing throughout the Southeast. We are part of a national network of AHMAs and partner with the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA). SAHMA's purpose is to provide education, information services, networking opportunities and representation for our members in an effort to preserve the nation's stock of low-income affordable housing and ensure a quality of life for its residents. As a nonprofit organization, SAHMA is governed by a Board of Directors who adminster the association using a set of by-laws. A copy of our by-laws is available to all members upon request. In addition, the IRS requires that our three most recent annual information returns (Form 990) and our applications for tax exemption be available for inspection. To request a copy of any of these materials, please email info[AT]sahma.org.
