Our founder's philosophy laid the foundation for our success.
Our founder and now chairman of The Waterworks, Thom Havens, had no previous background in the drain cleaning, plumbing repair or industrial services industry. What he did have was the understanding of how customers deserved to be treated and the perspective that if a company could deliver outstanding service, it could be the market leader.
In addition to knowing how customers deserved to be treated, Thom also considered how he would want to be treated if he worked for a service company as a respected employee. He also instinctively knew that to achieve true team spirit the entire team needed to share in a common philosophy.
Because of this shared philosophy, The Waterworks has grown more than 10-fold to be the largest drain cleaning and plumbing repair company in Central Ohio.
