Ellis R. Ivory, founder of Ivory Homes, began developing communities in Utah over 40 years ago. Initially we developed only lots, selling to both individuals and Utah home builders.
In 1983, Ivory Homes started building homes in their own developments. On November 27, 1987, Ellis registered the Ivory trademark, UTAH'S NUMBER ONE HOMEBUILDER. At that time, we were not the largest volume builder of new homes in Utah, we did not have the most locations, and there were improvements we wanted to make. With this trademark, he also made it clear that we would be committed to quality real estate in Utah for the long term future.
Since registering the trademark, Ivory Homes has been Utah's Number One HomeBuilder for 23 consecutive years in number of homes, quality, and customer service.
