In 1977, Bob Quigley started a small roofing company. Within the next year, two of his childhood friends, Mike Bovee and Guy Lipovsek, joined him. The first years were rough. It was hard to make ends meet during a recession when the economys down and the cost of fuel and roof products is up. As time went on, Brillo tried to become more of a full season company. They began with aluminum siding, trim and storm window replacement. Then they began to renovate home exteriors including the replacement of windows and doors, which made for a natural transition into interior renovations such as kitchen and bath remodels, additions, basements, etc.
A large portion of the companys success is attributed to longtime, faithful, key employees who between them possess almost 150 years of Brillo experience! The salespeople are homegrown and there are currently ten people in the field daily with five lead carpenters who are overseen by a foreman. A total of 10 NARI-certified professionals are on staff at Brillo. The three original owners are still a main part of the company, continuing to deal with the day-to-day functions of running the business.
