Builders Group, Inc. traces its origins from the family owned Talbott Paint & Glass founded in Elkins, WV circa 1890. In 2000, Talbott Glass (formally Talbott Paint & Glass) acquired Builders Center in Philippi, WV from its majority owner Fred Wilson. Later in 2004, the combined company called Builders Group, Inc. expanded its operation in Elkins by acquiring the Elkins Builders Supply Company and employing many of it's former staff.
