Metzler Home Builders, Inc. is a third generation builder that has served Lancaster County since 1953. Dan Metzler's involvement with the business began as a young boy sweeping floors for his dad and grandfather. A partner since 1978, Dan and his wife Janet have successfully handled the business affairs since his dad's retirement in 1988. They have three children; Jennifer, Jordan, and Joel. An active participant in the Parade of Homes, Metzler Home Builders, Inc. has received numerous Best of Show awards over the past ten years. A highlight of the 2004 Parade of Homes was a partnership with Desmond Construction in the Water Street Rescue Mission's project, Hearts for the Homeless: Building for a Better Tomorrow. Many suppliers and subcontractors donated discounted material and labor for the new construction, with all proceeds from the sale of the 2,175 square foot, two story home donated to Water Street Rescue Mission. The Metzler's enjoy developing personal relationships with their clients throughout the construction process, with complete customer satisfaction at the heart of every custom home, addition or remodeling project.
