Company Description:
How Mercedes Homes Began
Mercedes Homes was established in 1983 by Howard Buescher, a 23-year veteran of the homebuilding business and his daughter Susan Girard. He named the new company after his wife, Mercedes, and the home builder quickly earned a reputation for outstanding design. Howard's other children quickly followed him into the business and today, five of them lead our innovative company. Mercedes Homes continues to expand rapidly in Florida , Texas and North and South Carolina and has now built homes for over 40,000 families.
Strong and Growing
From just 35 homes in 1983, Mercedes Homes takes pride in designing and building thousands of homes each year. Builder Magazine ranks Mercedes Homes as the 20th largest builder in the nation. Yet despite its strength and size, our company maintains a family feel and stresses community involvement. We build in over 130 locations in four states and maintain four subsidiary operations in the Mercedes' Family of Companies: MHi Mortgage, BDR Title, and Space Coast Truss. Employee ownership at Mercedes Homes and its Family of Companies means that we approach every task with the mindset of an Owner. And with ownership comes a sense of responsibility and pride that translates into extraordinary customer service. 97% of our homebuyers state they would recommend Mercedes Homes to a friend or family member.
Ongoing Research and Innovation
At Mercedes Homes, distinctive design has been coupled with a need to innovate. Technology and innovation have been integral to our processes long before the hurricanes of recent years. For over a decade, we have been hard at work, proactively researching new technologies to make your new home stronger, safer and more energy efficient.
In cooperation with our technology partners, Mercedes Homes has developed features and options designed to increase structural strength and reduce the chance for water intrusion in storm conditions. The benefits of these innovative features have been televised nationally on the Bob Vila Show, ABC Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the Discovery Channel, CNN and multiple news outlets. All of our Florida locations offer some of these storm resistant features. As the specialized trade partners and suppliers are acquired, more Mercedes locations will offer the full complement of hurricane resistant features.
Building Homes, Neighborhoods & Lifestyles...in Florida, Texas and the Carolinas
Skill, experience, passion and commitment are all part of the craftsmanship that goes into each Mercedes home. Our family of dedicated employee-owners and trade partners works diligently to build
homes that will be enjoyed for years to come. At Mercedes Homes, "we pledge to build distinctive homes of outstanding and enduring value while providing an enjoyable experience for our customers."
It's no wonder that we stand behind every home we build with a one-year and two-year limited warranty-- as well as a ten-year structural warranty. Mercedes Homes continues to be an industry leader not because of the number of homes we build, but because of how we build them.
