Company Description:
After fifty years of success with an underground utility and excavation business, Bob Schraufnagel, the owner of Super Excavators was eager to diversify operations and to provide a cost efficient streamlined menu of services for potential customers. Bob Schraufnagel reviewed several opportunities to acquire a business to compliment the existing facilities of Super Excavators, Inc. In 1998 the owners of Super Excavators purchased the assets of Western Contractors, Inc. and retained the services of the owner of Western to ensure a smooth transition. Bob Mertz, a 20-year veteran of Super Excavators, Inc. was named President of the acquired company and is the chief estimator. The name of the newly formed business was taken from the prior grading contractor and the acquiring company. Super Western began to bid work in April of 1998, concentrating on mostly large rough and finish grading projects. In 2000 Super Western expanded the scope of operations to include building sites. Super Western has a vast array of construction equipment, skilled personnel, and the financial strength to meet the needs of any size customer. The experienced personnel of the company can offer cost savings in providing alternative methods of construction to meet specific needs of the customer.
