The Knaphus Exterior Panel Company, KEPCO+, was founded in Salt Lake City, Utah, during 1985 by two brothers who had grown up working in their father's successful stone and tile company. Sensing the need for prefabricated wall panels to facilitate the rapid enclosure of major buildings, eliminate burdensome scaffolding, and allow jobsite installation with little delay from inclement weather, the Knaphus brothers acquired a local facility to fabricate steel truss panels and clad them with natural stone or large module ceramic tile. The company grew quite rapidly in the late eighties and early nineties with projects not only in Utah but also California, Colorado, Nevada and other states throughout the booming West. Continuing to expand geographically into the new century, KEPCO+ now contracts throughout the country in all applications of natural stone and exterior architectural cladding.
