Chris Clever, President of Clever Construction, Inc. has been involved with the construction industry for just about all of his life. His father was an architect out of San Francisco, and although Chris has Bay area roots, he truly is a local talent. He graduated from the Carpenters Apprenticeship Program right here in Hawaii, received his Journeyman's Certificate in Carpentry and immediately began working on several major Maui projects. Concrete, framing, finish, layout - he got involved with it all, working on large subdivisions, hotels, condominiums - both commercial and residential projects - refining his trade and growing in the skills and knowledge that would ultimately make him one of Hawaii's outstanding residential builders. The company, which was incorporated in 1992, has always placed a primary emphasis on residential construction, although its capabilities and experience have included several light commercial projects, such as the sales office at the Hapuna Prince Hotel and work on the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel.
