Burch Construction Co. was founded in 1978 by Bill Burch after he retired from the United States Navy. The company started out as a general contractor performing projects for the Navy primarily in the San Diego area, due to the abundance of Naval bases. Soon, Bill's son Mitch came to work for him to learn the business and soon began taking over the operations of the company. Mitch's wife Nancy came to work in the office soon after, becoming part of the daily operation as well.In 1982 Burch Construction Co. was incorporated, adding the INC. at the end of the company name. Discovering what its core strengths were, the company switched to specializing in metal studs, drywall, acoustical ceilings, then branching into sprayed fireproofing, lath and plaster. By finding our niche, Burch Construction Co., Inc. has become one of the most highly qualified subcontractors in the industry.Throughout the past 30 years Burch Construction has continued its history with the Armed Forces, supporting our country's military and providing improved facilities for our men and women in uniform. In addition, we have a strong history in the education sector, whether it is constructing elementary schools all the way up to our fine higher learning institutions. Burch Construction is dedicated to providing the future of America with a pleasant learning environment.In the past 10 years we have really narrowed our focus to doing design/build projects. We really enjoy the process of being involved in the design phase of the project. Burch Construction prides itself on performing quality work for our general contractors whether we are on a small private job or a large military project.
