As his reputation for dealing with his clients honestly, building a quality home, and standing behind his workmanship grew; he began attracting clients that wanted to build larger, more luxurious homes where the detailing and superior products used by Hunt Construction was imperative. In the late eighties and early nineties, the homes that Steve was building grew from 2,500 square feet to over 10,000 square feet. Hunt Construction building signs could be found in St. Charles Harbor off of the Caloosahatchee River and golf communities such as Fiddlesticks and The Forest.In 1994, while meeting the needs of clients looking to build their custom dream home; Steve Hunt was invited to become a part of the builder's program in Bonita Bay, one of Southwest Florida's premier developments. One year later, his first model in Bonita Bay, was open for viewing, and a new dimension of Hunt Construction was created. Our model home program was born. As we continued to build custom homes for our clients who wanted a home designed for them personally; we were also able to provide options for those clients that preferred to walk through a home and tailor it to meet their needs.Through the design and estimating process, Ron Cernohous, our Vice-President, who joined Hunt Construction in 1997, assists clients with questions concerning their building options. A graduate of University of Florida with a degree in Construction, Ron has been able to add tremendously to Hunt Construction's ability to service our clients.Today, while continuing to build throughout Southwest Florida; Hunt Construction has models in Shadow Wood at the Brooks and in Mediterra; properties developed by Bonita Bay Group. Hunt Construction continues to look toward the future guided by the same goals that Steve learned from his father and uncle forty years ago.For twenty years, Hunt Construction has earned the respect of hundreds of new Homebuyers, from successful professionals to aspiring families to accomplished retirees.
