Company Description:
The project was originally envisioned as adding one additional level each to two existing structures. During the design phase, it was mutually agreed that adding two levels to Parking Structure B608 would be acceptable.The project was broken up into nine phases to minimize disruption to the potable and firewater service at MCAS Camp Pendleton. Each phase ware required to be tested and accepted prior to beginning work on the next phase. The phased schedule had to be modified numerous times to accommodate other construction projects and to modify outage dates as requested by PWC.This project was constructed in East Miramar without the support of utilities normally provided by the Government. No water and very limited electricity was available. All water for earthwork, concrete finishing and clean up was trucked in and stored on site. Electricity was not available to a large portion of the site so generators were utilized.
