Company Description:

The Wieland-Davco Corporation's company history reads like a great American success story. Don Wieland started The Don A. Wieland Construction Company in 1958. Back in the early days, Wieland-Davco literally designed, fabricated and erected metal buildings for its clients. In 1964 Don Wieland's first cousin and key business partner, Dave Wieland, was tragically killed by a drunk driver. In honor of him, Don changed the company name to its present form - The Wieland-Davco Corporation.Wieland-Davco had lots of success in the 1960s - and weathered a lot of storms in the 1970s. Don became ill in the early 1980s, and passed away in 1990. During this time his sons - Craig and Scott Wieland - moved the company from Bay City (MI) to Lansing with the goal of continuing Don's vision of treating people fairly and creating satisfied clients. In 2006 Wieland-Davco opened its Central Florida Office, now located in Celebration, between Lakeland and Orlando. In February of 2007, The Wieland-Davco Corporation constructed and moved into its new corporate headquarters in Lansing, MI. And, later that year, the firm opened its second regional office in Shreveport, LA.Today, Wieland-Davco boasts nearly 100 employees in a variety of locations across the United States. Brothers Craig and Scott Wieland are joined by four other shareholders: Rob Krueger (Operations); Maureen Devota (Finance); Jerry Kirkland (Senior Project Manager); and, Kevin Shaw (Marketing).
