Sprague Construction is a family business. Rick and his wife, Kathy, both longtime area residents, attended Pensacola high schools and raised their family in Gulf Breeze. They appreciate our area's exceptionally high quality of life and seek to maintain that in service to the community and to the construction industry. In 1997, Rick was installed the President of the Home Builders Association of West Florida (HBAWF). He has served for over a decade on the organization's Board of Directors and was the Cost and Codes Chairman in 1996 and 1997. In these leadership roles, Rick has provided insight to help shape legislative and local policies relating to home building. Rick is a University of West Florida graduate and holds a Masters in Public Administration. Doug, who joined the family business full-time in 1995, is also active with the local Home Builders Association. He too served as President of the Home Builders Association of West Florida in 2005. He is heavily involved in the HBAWF's governmental affairs committee. He is a University of Alabama graduate, and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of West Florida. Rick and Doug both received their Certified Graduate Builder status from the Home Builder Institute in 2001. They are two of only five builders in the Panhandle of Florida to hold this designation. They remain active members of the Florida Home Builders Association. Kathy is the interior designer for Sprague Construction and offers her services to all of the company's clients. Sophie, the office manager for the company holds a Masters in Business Administration and has many years of experience in accounting and business management. This creative team combines their strengths to produce award winning homes while maintaining the highest levels of integrity and service.
