Maron Construction Co., Inc. was founded in July 1977 by James and Gloria Maron. After working for over twenty-five years for a large general contractor in the State of Rhode Island, James started his own firm. The company had its humble beginnings operating from James Maron's residence with one pickup truck, some tools, and one employee. After being awarded its first job, the company was on its way. Through hard work and determination, James Maron was awarded numerous projects and always delivered the projects in a timely and efficient manner. In 1981, the company outgrew the small office in North Providence and moved operations to Providence, where they have grown from a modest four-room office to a large industrial complex. Over time, James' three children eventually joined the firm and by 1982, the entire family was working in various capacities. Thomas Maron is both a principal of the corporation and its Chief Estimator. His responsibility includes heading the estimating department, contract specialist and negotiating contracts. David Maron is both a principal of the corporation and Project Manager. In his capacity, he supervises the project management teams and handles all technical aspects on any given project. Jayne Mardo is both a principal of the corporation and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all accounting and financial decisions on behalf of the company. Furthermore, Maron Construction Co., Inc. has a qualified support staff that has been together for over ten years (10), thus creating a camaraderie that is very rare in this business. A steady increase in the volume of work that is self performed and a corresponding increase in employees has occurred each year. Specializing in commercial renovation work, the firm successfully completed numerous projects in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire.
