Marawood has grown greatly since our start up company began business in December of 1980. The company was the vision of Frederick Schindler then, and it remains under the same leadership today. However, the growth of our company in the past 26 years gives way to the fact that not all decisions should be made by one individual. Empowering good people with a high level of responsibility and accountability. Leadership is a focal point of our company. We began building small storage facilities, garages and agricultural structures. Moving into light commercial projects was the next step and have since progressed into a diverse product line of commercial and agricultural projects, including: convenience stores, manufacturing facilities, food process, professional service facilities, retail stores, churches, banks restaurants, automotive repair, tenant build-outs, commercial remodeling, car washes, warehouses and mini-storage buildings. As the complexity of the job increased, our design and construction management abilities grew. Our drafting and design capabilities began with one draftsman drawing by hand on a portable board. Currently we have multiple full time drafters working with the latest version of Auto CAD. Our design services include three dimensional color renderings, site surveying and design, and construction documents. We have evolved into a state of the art design/build contractor, with most of our projects being designed in house. The process entails preliminary building plan development, site survey/design, building code review, engineering and construction prints. The design/build process creates the project in its entirety before any construction has begun. Our complete project design yields accurate cost and time analysis, which is key for projects to be on time and in budget.
