At Industrial Builders, our daily lives focus around hard work and perseverance. Our story begins in 1953 when Warren B. Diederich decided to start a construction outfit. All he owned to get the business off the ground was a Studebaker truck and the will to build.Since then, IBI has constructed a reputation of unprecedented quality and ingenuity. In fact, it’s safe to say that IBI built a good portion of Midwest America’s infrastructure—a landscape that is strong, safe and vibrant.IBI employs approximately 275 construction workers during the peak season in spring and summer. We perform about $50 million worth of volume annually, with 70% of that volume being self-performed. Though IBI is known for its big machines and dramatic projects, it’s the people of Industrial Builders who provide the indispensable quality of service and expertise that makes IBI what it is today. Our president, Paul Diederich, has worked in the industry since 1974. Executive Vice President, Donn Diederich, began with IBI in 1971, while our Vice President of Engineering, Ron Mack, holds over 40 years of service under his belt. Since 1982, Vice President of Construction, Roger Haberman, has overseen our construction projects. Five of our superintendents have been with us for over 25 years.
