The Construction Confederation is the meeting point for UK contracting companies of all sizes and from all sectors - a powerful alliance with a unique knowledge base. The role of the Confederation is to be the sum of the parts, acting as an umbrella body in ensuring that Government, the media and other important opinion-formers hear the voice of one of Britain's biggest exports and largest non-service based industry. Stephen Ratcliffe is our Chief Executive and James Wates is our Chairman. Formed in 1997, but with a history stretching back more than 100 years, the Confederation comprises six Member Federations. These in turn have member companies accounting for over 75% of the industry's turnover.
