Company Description:
Clark Builders is committed to enhancing life in the communities we serve. Lending a hand to neighbours is not an optional add-on for us, but essential to who we are. Corporately, we're engaged in numerous endeavours, from building and supporting women's shelters to launching a charitable golf tournament in Calgary to kick-starting a paddling event in support of Edmonton's Cornerstone Counselling Centre. Overseas, we contribute to Hope International's work in capping springs and digging wells for water-starved villages in such countries as Sudan and Cambodia. We are also active in numerous business and professional associations. In 2002, our team built an entire Habitat for Humanity. Key employees sit on numerous non-profit boards, giving and gaining expertise that informs future projects-whether volunteer, paid or some blend of the two. Perhaps it's no surprise, then, that we've been tapped to build more than 30 churches and other community-based projects, using our understanding of volunteer dynamics to stretch available dollars to the maximum. As founder Andy Clark says, Giving back is good for the community
