Can-Dive Construction is a quality and performance marine construction oriented company with a proven record of success. In addition to a strong local presence the company has considerable international experience, having completed projects in over a dozen foreign countries. Our clients include virtually every marine contracting and consulting firms in Canada, as well as major utility, forestry, mining, harbour and government organizations. When we combine the background gained from our multi-faceted business with our large inventory of equipment and the support of our experienced personnel we are able to provide our clients a complete package to get the job safely done, on time and on budget. Can-Dive was formed in 1966 by a group of Vancouver businessmen headed by Phil Nuytten. Starting as a local diving contractor, the company expanded in the areas of marine contracting and offshore drilling support to new age technology. In 1969 Can-Dive joined with 2 US companies to form Oceaneering International, Inc. Since then Can-Dive has become a 100% Canadian owned Private Corporation. In 1987, Can-Dive formed International Hard Suits Inc. to manufacture and distribute the ADS system, the NEWTSUIT. Can-Dive Construction separated from International Hardsuits in 1996 to allow the company to focus on and expand their core business - commercial diving and marine contracting. Can-Dive Construction and their close associate company Nuytco Research can support the marine diving industry with methods and equipment to water depths of 3000 ft. Diving methods range from surface supplied air and mixed gas diving to bell bounce and saturation to manned submersibles to remote operated vehicles and atmospheric diving suits. Strategic partnerships have been formed when there has been a requirement to provide a full service technological solution in order to satisfy the client's special needs. The management of Can-Dive Construction holds in high regard the safety, welfare and health of all its employees. We believe that production and performance at the expense of safety is not so urgent that we cannot take time to do our work safely. We share at all levels, the responsibility, that we can create and are working in a safe and accident free environment.
