BAI has been providing consulting services to California State University, Chico//s (CSU, Chico) Environmental Health & Safety Department since 2005. BAI services have included preparation of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans for the entire urban CSU, Chico campus as well as CSU, Chico//s rural University Farm location. Both SPCC Plans were prepared in accordance with Environmental Protection Agency 40 CFR 112 to outline procedures to prevent the discharge of oil and oil products into the environment and especially to surface environment. In addition, BAI has performed Phase I Environmental Site Assessments on CSU, Chico properties or properties that CSU, Chico planned to purchase. Phase I services were performed to identify environmental problems or potentially hazardous substances prior to development or purchase of subject properties. Phase I services performed for CSU, Chico were conducted in accordance with American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E1527-2005. BAI has also conducted Phase II environmental site assessment investigations for CSU, Chico based on environmental problems or potentially hazardous materials identified during performance of a Phase I. Phase II investigations have included soil and groundwater sampling to determine the presence of constituents of concern which may pose a potential threat to human health, safety or the environment. Phase II investigations were performed in accordance with ASTM Standards E1903-2002.
