Company Description:
Azteca Enterprises, Inc. is a minority (Hispanic) owned company with its roots beginning in the SBA 8a program for small businesses. Our development within this program allowed us to grow to become the company we are today, indicative of our #56 ranking of the largest construction companies in the State of Texas (Texas Construction 2005).
We understand and appreciate the small and minority businesses in every community we do business. We have a full time employee dedicated to developing relationships with small/minority businesses with the intent of them providing services on our projects. Small and minority participation is not a goal on our projects, it is a directive we eagerly follow.
Azteca is fully committed to supporting SBE/MBE/WBE in their objectives.
We will define the components of the project and locate the businesses that will perform this specialty work. Contacts will be made through the following:
Local Minority Business Councils
Local Chambers of Commerce
Meet and Greet we will network with local small/minority businesses. We will describe the opportunities available to the contractors.
Utilizing listing of contractors from minority certification agencies.
In the pre-construction phase of a CMAR project there are three important key factors which go into developing a complete and accurate budget for the project. First is developing a strong subcontracting list of qualified contractors in the area, second, communicating to the contractors what the Owner is requiring and insuring this is conveyed and is accurate and third, compiling this information into an estimate form so it is easily understood and proper decisions can be made.
Cultivating a diverse workforce is an important part of Azteca Enterprises culture. Our workforce diversity also allows Azteca Enterprises to be a better reflection of the communities in which we live and work, and to ensure that our employees are the best and brightest in the industry.
