History. The Orr Construction Company of today descends on the foundation of the storied history of the late Foster R. Orr (1915-1979). After its startup in 1948, F.R. Construction Company became one of the largest builders in the Rocky Mountain Region, completing major projects in more than twenty states. The list of accomplishments is remarkable: the Denver Convention Center, the Performing Arts Center in Kansas City, and numerous Holiday Inns nationwide. In addition, F.R. Orr Construction Company was proud to build many educational and athletic buildings for Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming, such as Hughes Stadium and Moby Gym (C.S.U.).
