Hard work and intense determination brought significant rewards. Four years after he was graduated from Henry Abbott Tech, Anthony Sr. and his wife Joan founded A.M. Rizzo Electrical Contractors Inc., providing electrical construction services to business and government entities in Connecticut. Over 40 years later, The Rizzo Companies handle industrial, commercial and municipal construction contracts, multiple real estate holdings and construction management through the various companies, throughout Connecticut and New York. All of this is managed and developed now by a second generation of Rizzos, making the Rizzo Companies one of the few Danbury area businesses truly family owned and operated. Today, Anthony Rizzo Jr oversees the daily operation of the Rizzo Corporation.
