General Contractors - Managers
Company Description:
ACS's business is founded on the delivery of R&D and Test facilities using a holistic approach including an understanding of the science behind our client's needs. We are a Madison, Wisconsin based company with an entrepreneurial spirit based on responding to our client's needs and their definition of successful delivery. ACS's Mission is "To Deliver Innovative and Integrated Facility, Equipment and Systems Solutions". We provide our integrated design and construction services for technically complex R&D and Testing facilities in the engine & vehicle test and product development markets. We have earned the trust of major corporations to lead their critical projects because of our focus on being responsive and orientated to their needs. We are looking for a Project Manager who shares our values and is interested in achieving personal excellence through leading project teams in support of meeting our client's needs.
ACS provides the direction for the commissioning process, focusing on details such as scheduling, participation of various parties, actual lines of reporting, level of documentation, development of pre-functional testing requirements and detailed functional performance test procedures. ACS is committed to providing the appropriate level of service as demanded by the project and requested by the client. As a member of the Building Commissioning Association, ACS takes a leading role in BCA efforts to achieve professional standards, while allowing for the diverse and creative approaches to building commissioning that benefit our clients. ACS focuses on identifying critical elements in the development of our commissioning plan, rather than dictating a rigid commissioning process. ACS recognizes that the scope of commissioning varies between projects. We subscribe to the BCA definition of the purpose of commissioning: "The basic purpose of building commissioning is to provide documented confirmation that building systems function in compliance with criteria set forth in the Project Documents to satisfy the owner//s operational needs. Commissioning of existing systems may require the development of new functional criteria in order to address the owner//s current systems performance requirements." This definition is based on the understanding that the owners have a means of verifying that functional needs are rigorously addressed during design, construction and acceptance. At ACS, we strive to make a difference. We believe a building and its systems should be fully functional when turned over for occupancy. That//s the demand we hear from our clients and that//s what we deliver.
