(TRIAD), a Mid-Atlantic engineering firm with over 200 employees over five states, is seeking a highly motivated, well organized individual with direct experience in business development in our Northwestern Region of PA, WV, MD and OH. This position is responsible for building market position by locating, developing, and maintaining client relationships, particularly those clients who may offer large scale and long term opportunities. The individual will drive strategic business development goals dictated by the company, monitor client retention, and arrange, coordinate, and close sales presentations. Duties:Principal Job Duties:
Duties include coordinating regional marketing staff to work with marketing/business development staff throughout the company to achieve corporate goals.
Other Duties:
Under the direction of the Business Development Manager, the position serves their region by identifying new markets for potential revenue opportunities; prospects new clients, understands individual market dynamics such as size, barriers to entry, technologies, key players, competitors, funding, etc.; works with other TRIAD team members to ensure successful entry and sales growth. He or she will identify emerging markets by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; attends community and municipal meetings. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organizations.
Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or science/engineering related field is required as well as five years of relevant experience.
Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Physical Demands:
The employee may occasionally be required to push, pull, lift, and/or carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Work may routinely require the employee to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Work is performed under all weather conditions, sometimes on construction sites or in difficult terrain, and sometimes involves extensive standing and walking.
