At John Thompson & Partners he has been involved in high-density, mixed-use, riverside projects for St George at Charter Quay, Kingston, and Brewhouse Street, Putney, and in St James Homes// residential development of the former Kew sewage treatment works. He has also been involved in the practice//s social housing work with Castle Vale Housing Action Trust in Birmingham which included neighbourhood strategies for areas of retained existing housing and proposals for new homes on infill sites within a partnering framework and a number of resident-led option appraisals and masterplans for the development and regeneration of estates in London. He was also a member of the team which prepared the masterplan for a new model community on the outskirts of York for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation. In Winchester Andrew was responsible for an exercise that built on an earlier capacity study to achieve community support for the construction of new, affordable housing on infill sites within established areas of owner-occupation. More recently he has prepared a development framework for Kings Norton NDC which has involved a six months programme of community engagement to build consensus on regeneration proposals. Andrew is currently preparing masterplans for Dolphin//s Barn, Dublin on behalf of Dublin City Council and for the Woodlands area in Doncaster.
