Through the teaming of Zivan Cohen and the late Dick Tadjer, Tadjer-Cohen Associates, Inc. was established in 1962 to provide consulting structural engineering services. The firm was later renamed Tadjer-Cohen-Edelson Associates, Inc. following the appointment of Eric Edelson to the position of Vice-President. The principals of the firm, Zivan Cohen, M.Sc., P.E., Eric Edelson, B.Sc., P.E., Varinder M. Abrol, M.Sc., P.E., Michael Tabassi, M.Sc., P.E., Ali Tahbaz, M.Sc., P.E., Sanjay Khanna, M.Sc., P.E., and Yehuda Nordman, M.Sc., P.E., S.E., are jointly registered in numerous states. TCE's extensive experience with both design and construction totals over 38 billion dollars of in-place construction to date.
Our staff currently consists of over 70 knowledgeable, experienced and innovative professionals. The firm has been extensively engaged in structural engineering design for a large variety of projects varying in magnitude and complexity, i.e., residential, office buildings, retail, institutional, mixed-use, commercial, parking structures, special structures, remodeling and renovation of existing buildings and analysis and recommendation for repairs of deficiencies in existing buildings (forensic engineering).
In addition to the multiple locations TCE serves nationally, we have also been providing design services overseas for decades, such as in Iran, Israel, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Honduras, India, Abu Dhabi, and Vietnam. Projects have included high-rise office buildings, residential towers, mid-rise apartments, chanceries, consular annexes and ambassador residences, mixed-use complexes, communications center, parking garages, and retail space.
