WGK specializes in general civil/environmental engineering and surveying. Established in Mississippi in 1991, we provide professional engineering and surveying services to both public and private clients throughout the State of Mississippi. The four (4) principals, Gregory A. Gearhart, P.E., D.E.E. Jeffery T. Knight, P.E., Bill Owen, P.E., and Mike McKenzie, P.E. offer over 90 years of collective experience in the inception, design and management of civil / environmental and surveying related projects.
Our staff has extensive experience in planning, design, estimating, and construction supervision of public infrastructure. We also have special expertise in community development planning, capital improvements planning, water resources management, solid waste management, site design, wastewater management, stormwater management, roadway design, right-of-way surveying, transportation planning, traffic engineering, and route surveying.
The WGK team consists of 7 registered professional engineers, 3 registered land surveyors, several engineering interns, and experienced engineering designers, technicians, survey parties and construction review personnel. Our support staff is proficient in computer word processing, electronic spreadsheets and office administrative and management functions. To respond to our clients specific technical needs, we offer the latest in-house computer aided design and drafting (CADD) technology and we utilize state-of-the-art electronic total station and GPS surveying equipment.
