The company was founded in 1969. We chose the name Orbital because we were inspired by the space race, with its engineering creativity and excitementand the same spirit of innovation and accomplishment is with us today. From the beginning, working mostly with the steel and mining industries, our responsiveness and attention to detail earned us a reputation as a leading provider of engineering and design services. Over the years, we've broadened both our scope and our client list, and we now have productive ongoing relationships with world-leading companies in many industries.
