BAS features an integrated team of professional and technical support personnel with specialized experience in municipal solid waste and hazardous waste management. BAS has performed projects at more than 200 landfill facilities in California, Arizona, Utah, Oregon, Montana, and Hawaii; as well as landfills in Mexico and Hong Kong. Sites have ranged from rural disposal facilities of less than 10 acres, to large, regional metropolitan disposal sites of more than 1,500 acres. Projects have included siting and design of new landfills; permitting, design and master planning of landfill expansions; construction management and operational assistance; and closure and post closure monitoring. BAS has also completed hazardous material assessment and remediation services at government, industrial, commercial, and residential properties throughout the western United States. This includes Brownfields redevelopment projects, complex soil and groundwater investigations, remedial investigation and feasibility studies, remedial action planning, site closure assistance, remedial design, construction, hazardous materials removal and transport, treatment system operation and maintenance and long term monitoring, and asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and abatement design.
