In 1946 Electrical Construction Company was started to serve the electrical needs of the pulp and paper industry and other industrial markets. These first projects were successful and as time passed electrical construction work expanded. In 1958 Electrical Construction decided to enter into an agreement with a major supplier of generator sets to sell and service their products. This was the beginning of distribution and service known today as E C Power Systems. The 1960s and 70s brought continued growth and Northwest Marine Iron Works became the parent company of Electrical Construction. In 1985 Northwest Marine Iron Works sold Electrical Construction Company to the present owners.
Today E C Company has become a diversified organization that offers quality electrical services to diverse markets (advanced technology, commercial construction, industrial construction, renewable solutions, traffic signals & illumination, design/build, high voltage, low voltage, and 24/7 service work) as well as engine and generator distribution, with parts and service for over 30 brands. E Cs commitment to quality craftsmanship is recognized by our clients. This includes our very first customer, a local paper mill, that remains an E C customer to this day.
