In the beginning there were two brothers, one garage and an idea. The year was 1959, the location Vienna, VA, and the brothers John and Billy Buhl. In 1972, Billy Buhl left to start his own company and John was left to run Buhl Electric. At that point Buhl Electric had about 40 employees. In 2001, John Buhl handed the controls of the company over to his son, John Buhl, Jr. As company president, John, Jr. now controls a corporation of 250 employees. Our newest branch, in Richmond, was opened in early 2008, extending our reach from Northern Virginia down into Central Virginia.
