Company Description:
HEPCO was founded in 1973, by Herbert E. Peitzer [and thus HEPCO] an aeronautical engineer, as an engineering staffing company. Current management acquired the company in 1992, and today we are a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, headquartered in Saddle Brook, New Jersey serving clients in thirty States. The balance of ourclient baseare located in the New Hampshire to Virginia axis, although California is our fifth most important client State. HEPCO focuses its staffing efforts primarily on four disciplines: engineering, information technology, telecommunications and executive search. We provide our clients with qualified candidates across the entire spectrum of each of these disciplines. Our traditional strength has been providing clients with well qualified individuals on short notice, for periods ranging from a few months to several years. We provide our clients with three types of personnel. The first is permanent candidates, who become the client employee from day one. The second is temp-to-perm employees who start out as HEPCO employees, and after a defined period [usually six to twelve months], are available to hire as permanent employees for no additional fee. The third type are HEPCO employee consultants, who will work on a specific client project at the client site as our employees until their role on that project is completed, at which time the client tells us to terminate that persons services. Also, as a cleared facility,we regularly work on Department of Defense related contracts through our Tier One vendor clients. Our markups for both consultants and contract candidates are very competitive and negotiable. With temp-to-perm agreements, before we can quote a markup, we need to know how long you will want the consultant to be a contract employee, prior toa no fee conversion right taking effect. Consultants who work six months before conversion have higher markups than consultants who work twelve months. In some cases, clients ask for a monthly fee schedule, so that at any point in a six or twelve month cycle, if the client takes the consultant permanent, the fee is very clearly spelled out. We can provide highly qualified individuals on a timely and cost effective basis across the entire spectrum of the engineering, communication and IT disciplines.
