The principles have a long history of manufacturing products dating back to 1973 when Charles established Mehlhaf Machine & Mfg Co in rural Menno, SD. The company then moved to a new facility in Freeman, SD a year later. Donna joined the company in 1975, and in 1979 Mehlhaf Machine & Mfg Co became Wildcat Mfg Co, still under the sole ownership of Charles and Donna.
