The company was set up in a bid to offer an efficient and competitive cutting service to the construction industry. The objective was to fill the gap created by the extended delivery periods which were quoted at the time by most brick manufacturers. By the time Warren Dean joined the company in 1992 the company was gathering momentum. With the increase in sales achieved during the following twelve months, a second factory was opened in Gloucestershire which serviced the West Country. During the next few years the business grew from strength to strength. By the year 2000 there were five Kevington factories operating throughout the UK. Following on from the success of the 1990s, in 2001 the directors of Kevington Building Products entered into an agreement with CRH Plc, the international building materials group. With this backing Kevington has continued to grow and now operates from six sites throughout the UK offering a truly comprehensive national service.
