at NLC continuously does on time completions despite the challenges of remote, difficult,
and harsh weather conditions.NLC flew to Kantishna Roadhouse, which is a high end tourist resort inside Denali Park boundaries. A fire had burnt down vital resort operation facilities which would make it difficult for the resort to function. Employee housing, generator rooms, and mechanical rooms were burnt to the ground. Due to the remote location of the resort, all items had to be flown or trucked in. Everything from generators, building materials, and food had to be trucked or flown over the treacherous ninety eight mile road. Working feverishly yet safe, NLC was able to make Kantishna Roadhouse operational and ready for tourists by June 5. From schools in the bush to large projects in the cities, NLC has met the challenges of building in the north. Our company roots stay strong in Alaska, and we strive to keep looking up and towards the future. Despite all the fast tracked projects Nenana Lumber Company has one of the states lowest accident rating. We work hard and always put safety as our paramount goal.
