The History of CMC Concrete Materials Company, LLC (CMC) is now what was started in 1931 by L. M. Winges and G. M. Robertson in Lexington, Kentucky. The original company was in Lexington Quarry Company and had two — one cubic yard delivery units. During the 1970s and 1980s the company expanded to Danville and Irvine-Ravenna. The company set up and supplied concrete on several projects over the years, one that involved Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) in Winchester. During that period, the company developed and expanded the building materials and pre-cast business.
