Athens Fence Co. was started in the spring of 1983 by James Dwight Gee, Mr. Gee had been building and selling fence in the Tennessee Valley area since 1973 and decided it was time for someone to start a fence company that would offer quality fencing at an affordable price, thus Athens Fence was started.
At first Mr. Gee worked, as most small business owners do, out of his home. He then moved to a new location in Tanner in 1987 where his business flourished until the space that he occupied became too small. In 1990 he purchased and moved to our present location, 13100 Highway 31 in Athens. Our new facility has 22 acres and houses approximately 10,000 square feet of office, shop, and storage space.
At Athens Fence we are dedicated to the satisfaction of our customers and the beauty of their project regardless of the size, we take special pride in insuring that our customers are taken care of to the fullest extent by being staffed with well trained, knowledgeable installers and salesman that are prepared to offer our customers the highest quality fence for the best possible price.
