Tech-Wood Building Components is a Calgary company dedicated to the manufacturing and distribution of quality, engineered wood roof trusses and floor trusses, panelized walls, and engineered wood I-joist floor systems. Our wholly-owned subsidiary, Tech-Wood Engineering Ltd., allows clients direct access to our highly qualified and experienced team for structural engineering services.The company has a well-deserved reputation for quality and service. Since 1998, the Tech-Wood team has worked hard to ensure all products are completed to exacting standards of precision and quality. The principles are simple: design and manufacturing schedules are met and products are fit-for-purpose.This level of quality and service is achieved through dedication to building a high-quality team of professionals with an excellent combination of industry experience along with the professional and technical skills needed to stay at the front of the industry.Our modern 23,000 square foot, purpose-built manufacturing plant is located on five acres of land in Calgary. The facility is outfitted with state-of-the-art systems such as the Wizard perimeter-definition layout tables working in combination with computer-generated laser projections. This configuration allows for a truss table to be set-up in 10 - 30 seconds directly from computer-generated design drawings resulting in outstanding efficiency and unparalleled quality.Design and manufacture of wood trusses is accomplished using industry leading design software and computer-driven automated manufacturing equipment supplied by world leader Mitek Canada, Inc. We are also partnered with another world leader, iLevel by Weyerhaeuser for the design and supply of our Engineered Wood Products.The company is a past winner of the Canadian Home Builders Association - Calgary Region SAM Award for Manufacturer Partner of the Year.We are members of the Western Wood Truss Association - Alberta, Canadian Home Builders Association - Calgary Region, Calgary Construction Association and APEGGA. We are also a strong participant in the Built Green building program offered by the Built Green Society of Canada.Tech-Wood participates in Alberta Human Resources and Employment's Partnerships in Health and Safety program and has been COR certified for many years.
