Evolving from a store opened by Charles Ducommun in Los Angeles during the California Gold Rush, the company assisted in the birth of the aerospace industry in Southern California by providing aircraft aluminum to companies such as Lockheed.
Today, Ducommun continues to serve the aerospace industry by manufacturing components and assemblies for commercial aircraft, military aircraft, missile and space programs through its three business units, Ducommun AeroStructures (DAS), Ducommun Technologies (DTI) and Miltec.
