Mr. David's Flooring International, Ltd. was founded by David and Leonard Zmijewski in 1972. Created as a partnership installing residential floors, Mr. David's incorporated in 1976. Since then, we have become a leading provider of material and labor in the floor covering industry throughout the world, an active member of StarNet and a loyal supporter of INSTALL.
Mr. David's first major commercial job was the renovation of the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in 1975. Hyatt was so pleased with Mr. David's professional manner, quality results, and timely scheduling that Mr. David's was contracted for the renovation of the Hyatt Chicago in 1977. As a result of this experience, Mr. David's discovered that commercial projects are our calling. Our work is found at hotels, hospitals, and corporate offices around the world. Today, Mr. David's has successfully completed work in more than 50% of the Hyatt Hotels in the U.S.
One of our proudest distinctions is having installed more custom-made, woven Axminster carpets than any other company in the world. Our work with complicated Axminster carpet in sizeable public areas, such as hospitality, casinos and convention centers, has earned us recognition with others in the field of commercial floor covering.
